Ingredients

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional: Chopped nuts, shredded coconut, sprinkles, or any other desired ingredients

Equipment

Small bowl
Double boiler or microwave-safe bowl
Baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Spoon or rubber spatula
Optional: Cookie cutters in the shape of mice

Instructions

1. Begin by melting the chocolate chips and butter in a double boiler or in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30 second intervals, stirring between each interval, until the chocolate is fully melted. Be careful not to burn the chocolate.

2. Once the chocolate is melted, stir in the vanilla extract and any other desired ingredients (such as chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or sprinkles).

3. Pour the melted chocolate onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. If you have cookie cutters in the shape of mice, you can use them to cut out the shapes. Otherwise, you can use a spoon to create small mouse shapes.

4. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and allow the chocolate to cool and set for at least 2 hours.

5. Once the chocolate has set, you can remove it from the refrigerator and enjoy your chocolate covered mice!

Notes

If you don’t have a double boiler, you can use a heat-proof bowl set over a pot of boiling water. Just make sure the bowl does not touch the water.

You can also use other types of chocolate for this recipe, such as white chocolate or dark chocolate. Feel free to experiment with different flavors and ingredients.
