Ingredients
To make Chocolate Digestive biscuits you will need the following ingredients:
- 200g plain flour
- 50g caster sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 125g butter
- 50g chocolate chips

- Cookie cutter
Instructions
To make the Chocolate Digestive biscuits, start by preheating your oven to 180C. Next, sift the flour, sugar and baking powder into a large mixing bowl. Rub in the butter until it resembles breadcrumbs, then add the chocolate chips. Mix the ingredients together to form a dough, and then knead lightly on a floured surface. Roll out the dough to ½ cm thick and cut out shapes using a cookie cutter. Place the shapes onto a baking tray lined with baking parchment and bake in the oven for 12–15 minutes. Once cooked, leave the biscuits on the baking tray to cool before eating.
Notes
These biscuits are best eaten on the day they are made, but can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week. You can also freeze the biscuits, wrapped in cling film, for up to 3 months. If you prefer, you can replace the chocolate chips with other ingredients such as raisins or nuts for a different flavour.
