Ingredients

2 oranges

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup white chocolate chips

1 teaspoon coconut oil

1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

1. Begin by washing and drying the oranges. Cut each orange into 8 wedges, and set aside.

2. In a double boiler, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil, stirring until smooth and creamy. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

3. Dip each orange wedge into the melted chocolate, turning to coat evenly. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, and repeat with the remaining orange wedges.

4. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to allow the chocolate to set up.

5. In a double boiler, melt the white chocolate chips and 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil, stirring until smooth and creamy. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

6. Dip each orange wedge into the melted white chocolate, turning to coat evenly. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, and sprinkle with chopped walnuts, if desired. Repeat with the remaining orange wedges.

7. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to allow the chocolate to set up before serving.

Notes

The coconut oil helps to thin out the melted chocolate and make it easier to dip the orange wedges. If you don’t have coconut oil, you can use vegetable oil or melted butter.
