Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and lightly flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the melted butter and sugar. Beat on medium-high speed for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs one at a time, beating until each is fully incorporated. Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
Reduce the speed to low and add in the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined. Add the buttermilk and mix until just combined. Fold in the cranberries and chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle the top with the orange zest, if desired.
Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing and transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
