Ingredients
For the patties:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 5 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candy
- 2 tablespoons water
For the chocolate coating:
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Equipment
- Large mixing bowl
- Medium saucepan
- Rubber spatula
- Baking sheet
- Wax paper
- Parchment paper

Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, corn syrup, peppermint extract, powdered sugar, crushed peppermint candy and water. Mix together until the mixture forms a thick, sticky paste.
2. Line a baking sheet with wax paper. Take a spoonful of the mixture and roll it into a ball between your palms. Place the ball on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining mixture, making sure to leave enough space between the balls.
3. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for 30 minutes to allow the patties to set.
4. Place the chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a medium saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the chocolate chips are melted and the mixture is smooth.
5. Remove the patties from the freezer and dip each one into the melted chocolate mixture. Place the patties back on the wax paper.
6. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator until the chocolate coating has hardened, about 30 minutes.
7. Remove the patties from the refrigerator and enjoy!
Notes
- If the mixture is too sticky, add a little more powdered sugar.
- You can also add a few drops of food coloring to the mixture to make the patties more colorful.
- Use any type of chocolate you prefer for the coating.
