Description

Everyone loves a good chocolate chip cookie, and this Chocolate Dream Cookie recipe is sure to please! These cookies are extra-special, with a mix of white and dark chocolate chips and a hint of cinnamon. They’re soft and chewy on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside. Perfect as an after-school snack or anytime treat!

Ingredients

For this recipe, you’ll need the following ingredients: all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, butter, light brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, white chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, and ground cinnamon. You’ll also need additional ingredients for garnishing, such as chopped nuts, chopped dried fruits, or sprinkles.

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Finally, stir in the white chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, and ground cinnamon.

Drop heaping tablespoons of the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving a few inches between each cookie. Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve the cookies warm or cold, with optional garnishes.

Equipment

For this recipe, you will need a medium bowl, a large bowl, two baking sheets, parchment paper, a rubber spatula or wooden spoon, and a wire cooling rack. Optional equipment includes an electric mixer or stand mixer.

Notes

Be sure to use room temperature butter for best results. If you’re using a stand mixer, use the paddle attachment for creaming the butter and sugar. If you’re using an electric mixer, use the whisk attachment for creaming the butter and sugar.

If you’d like to make the cookies extra-special, you can add chopped nuts, chopped dried fruits, or sprinkles to the cookie dough. Or, you can try using different types of chocolate chips. For a richer flavor, you can use semi-sweet, milk chocolate, or dark chocolate chips.
