Ingredients
For the cupcakes:
- 150g self-raising flour
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder

- 100g caster sugar

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 190°C/375°F/Gas Mark 5.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
Sift in the flour and cocoa powder and mix until just combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Spoon the mixture into 12 cupcake cases and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before frosting.
